ABOUT US
Medicaid Personal Care Aide Providers created SCAPCP in 2002. The goal was to create an association with assistance from a management group for mediation, lobby support, and administrative guidance. The association has grown, achieved numerous goals and made a positive difference for the providers with the Department of Health and Human Services as well as the state legislature.
We have created a strong foundation with by-laws and identified areas such as reimbursement, creating a licensing agreement, reduction of worker's comp and liability rates, and addressing on-going program concerns.
Personal Care Providers place aides and nurses in client's homes under the Community Long Term Care and Disabilities and Special Needs programs. They also provide private care and staffing at times. The providers have faced a number of changes in the industry in the past with many more to come. We need to have a strong voice and united front to face these changes together.
